Lone Survivor New Movie Trailer
Bringing you the latest and greatest first; NavySEALs.com brings you the most up to date information regarding the movie we have all been waiting for; Lone Survivor. Hope you all enjoy the latest movie trailer as much as I did.
Based on The New York Times bestselling true story of heroism, courage and survival, Lone Survivor tells the incredible tale of four Navy SEALs on a covert mission to neutralize a high-level al-Qaeda operative who are ambushed by the enemy in the mountains of Afghanistan. Faced with an impossible moral decision, the small band is isolated from help and surrounded by a much larger force of Taliban ready for war. As they confront unthinkable odds together, the four men find reserves of strength and resilience as they stay in the fight to the finish.
Mark Wahlberg stars as Marcus Luttrell, the author of the first-person memoir “Lone Survivor,” whose book has become a motivational resource for its lessons on how the power of the human spirit is tested when we are pushed beyond our mental and physical limits. Starring alongside Wahlberg as the other members of the SEAL team are Taylor Kitsch, Emile Hirsch and Ben Foster.
Lone Survivor is written and directed by Peter Berg, who again crafts a striking portrait of the unbreakable bonds between men that he first explored in Friday Night Lights.
This is gonna be a tough one to watch...and a must. We have no clue, all we can rightfully do is listen and live proper....
Here's part of a Q&A Wahlberg did after the AFI premiere: http://insidemovies.ew.com/2013/11/13/mark-wahlberg-lone-survivor-premiere/ Luttrell was there but it didn't say if he answered any questions.
What can we learn from the story of these men? I think the answer is actually another question. The question is How much better would the world be if we all cared for our team like the Navy SEALs and other military do. How much better would life be if you knew that the man or woman you work with, or live with will stand beside you through the Gates of Hell if necessary? how much better woudl you be if you gave more of yourself than you asked in return. Would that not be heaven? We owe these guys more than a Thank you, we owe them a life well lived and honorable
@ColonelProp I could not agree with you more Sir. I was discussing with a fellow at work who was a boy during WWII, the difference in how insulated the US public is from our soldiers now vs. then. He clearly remembers going around his neighborhood colecting metal for the war and rationing of supplies. I feel all Americans should feel more of the burden of war, like our military families and soldiers do. More of us should realize the true cost of our freedom and luxurary
@Julesy Got to love the candor...think he will have drink with Tom Cruise any time in this life?
