Swimming $50 Bicycling $50 Running $50 All 3 Events $100 Mail checks to: Naval Special Warfare Foundation P.O Box 5965 Virginia Beach, VA 23471 Attn: TRIATHLON For more information about the Naval Special Warfare Foundation, go to: www.nswfoundation.org GENERAL INFORMATION: On Sunday, September 9, 2007, The Naval Special Warfare Foundation, along with VFW Post #7293 will be running a triathlon to benefit the Naval Special Warfare Foundation’s “Education with a Foundation” scholarship program. The funds raised will be used for scholarships to benefit the kids of fallen Naval Special Warfare operators—SEALs and Special Boat Team members. Compete in all three events or choose one or two events. All participants are asked to donate OR be sponsored at $50 for each event they participate, or $100 if they participate in all three. REGISTRATION: Evergreen Lake campground at 2375 Benders Dr. in Bath, PA 18014. Please contact Evergreen Lake for driving directions at (610) 837-6401 or visit their website www.evergreenlake.net. SWIM: The 650 M swim is in beautiful Evergreen Lake. Swimmers should arrive NLT 0800 with all necessary gear and any remaining donation checks and registration forms. The swim starts at 0830. BIKE: This leg of the triathlon will begin about 0930 at Evergreen Lake with all participants biking approximately 24 K around Evergreen Lake Park and local roads. All bikers must wear helmets and be advised that the roads will not be closed and clearly marked. RUN: The final leg of the triathlon will begin about 1130 at Evergreen Lake Park with all participants running/walking 5 K over a predetermined course. Be advised that the roads will not be closed and clearly marked. ALL PARTICIPANTS and THEIR FAMILIES are invited to join us in light refreshments and celebration after the triathlon from 1300 - 1530 at the VFW Post # 7293, Donald S. Reinert Post in Whitehall, PA 18052. A Color Guard Ceremony, formal check presentation and a group photograph will take place outside the VFW in the picnic area. A truck with a trailer equipped for breakdowns and a medical team will be on hand throughout the duration of the event.
