Hi other parents! Especially the (soon to be) SEAL moms. I just wanted to share with you the story behind the picture I chose to represent our group.
That picture was taken at Det Kodiak, in Kodiak, AK, where our boys go for their Winter Survival Training. The black flag that is folded by the wind is the SEAL flag for the training center. If you look just beyond the American Flag you'll see a bald eagle. That eagle comes every morning and perches himself there behind the American flag to watch the comings and goings of the day. One of the guys in my son's class snapped that picture. I loved it from the moment I saw it. It is so representative of American Pride.
