How do you believe I am wasting my time wanting to join SEALs? I respect the fact that you've gone through it and know what you're talking about, but you don't know me or my reasons for wanting to join up. I asked for advice. All your suggestion was that I look into NOAA (which doesn't interest me in the slightest, except for maybe the diving) My determination will not be swayed by nay-sayers and the like. It only matters that I want to do it and I can do it.
Thank you for your support. I have also loads of suport from a US Marine aswell which I found surprising! Good to talk at last. You are a big inspiration to us all! Thanks
Hi Amir, nice to hear from you. I went into the "Ask a SEAL" forum and could not find what you wanted me to read. What is the title of the entry? I really want to read it and read your response. Take care. Marilyn
I figured Al would be a good guy to talk to, but don't know how to get into contact with him. He and my dad were friends while my dad was recruiting in Oregon.
What a great post to the 21 year old married guy with a child and still in college! Your a straight shooter and laid it all out for hime! Amir your awesome!
I sent the message in your in box. I transfered the file from word to text on whatever this site provides. I preveiwed the copy you will recieve and its sufficient (readable). If there is a problem send me a quick message and I will send it to an alternate email address. Take care. and have a nice day.
Ill be here at KSC until probably next June or so. Have you ever been to the space centre? Certainly let me know next time you will be around. Unfortunately they have really closed down tightly on people getting into facilities here, even the staff are very limitied. However, if you come down, there is an excellent extended tour that you can do and i would be delighted to meet you and show you around. Its a great place.
Hey, no problem on the comment on that post. You are saying things these guys need to hear. Coming from you, it holds a lot of weight. So glad to see you here and posting!
No problem at all. Its unfortunate, it just seems that the couple of years in the fleet seems to sap the motivation and desire from some of these guys to go through it again. But yet it motivates others to better themselves and go back and conquer the ordeal!! I suppose it really all boils back down to how much you want it.
Thanks for the add and reply, much appreciated. Good to hear from you!
Hi Amir- my son was here for Thanksgiving. He mentioned that you guys were having surgery about the same time so you hadn't really connected. He was talking about some civilian diving stuff so I told him to check with you. Hit him up about that when you have the chance. Hope all is well with you! -Court
Hi Amir, Sorry I wrote such a small note in your personal email to me the other day. I came into the office late that day and had a client visiting. It was one of those days! Check your private email I wrote back to you today updating you. I did get your cell phone. It's in my contacts now. I will wait to hear from you. TTYL. Marilyn
I sent you a personal message Forman80, I'm probably making this more complicated then it should be. I requested a specific time of day to contact you. Once you give me that time I will make the call I have picked up some gear already but nothing to my specifications. It will get the job done for now though. I still have a few things I would like to discuss. Talk to you soon, take care
Frogman80, I would like to ask you a question about purchasing some quality gear. The temperature is droping in Chicago and Im geting ready for the semi-harsh weather thats just around the corner. I purchased some gloves from http://www.dicksspo rtinggoods.com/home/index.jsp which I thought would last me for a while but the stitching is already coming apart. I tried to repair it but the material isnt strong enough. I've decided to purchase some gloves from the sealstore website. http://shop.navyseals.com/d etail.aspx?ID=793&Name=BlackHawk-HellStorm-NaviGunner-2002-WaterOps-Glo ves-XXL-Black I wanted your input/recommendations on purchasing quality equipment. The gloves I purchased from Dicks Sporting Goods store were 3 X as expensive and were more for looks then for work. On another note, how are you recovering/feeling these days ? Take care M8
Hi how are you I just finished reading your bio wow you have done so much it must be nice having all of that experience I tried to become a seal but they said it was only for the man and when I asked why all they could say was that’s the why the government is can you please tell why a girl cant be a seal and happy veterans day.

Thanks for the info. I had a feeling that was what being a plank owner meant but wasn't sure. I have certainly given it some thought as to joining he Navy and becoming a SEAL. However, my instinct tells me to go Army and become a GB. I know both ventures are going to be extremely demanding and will push me beyond my previous thought limits. For working out and preparing I incorporate workouts from this website, and several from Stew Smith's website. I try to not only do what is recommended for Army SF but also train as if I were going to BUD/s or Marine Force Recon, or Air Force SF. I figure by doing that it will make my body more adjusted to anything that is thrown at me and all I will have to do is mentally overcome the challenges I face.
Hey Frogman! How are you feeling these days? Been a while since I gave you a ring, sorry about that. Big shindig is tomorrow and then it's back to my normal routine, thank goodness! I'll give you a call as soon as I've got a few. Hope you're improving. We'll talk soon.
Frogman, I heard your recovering from surgery . I just wanted to send you the best and a quick recovery. I sent you a lengthy email a while ago but dont know if you recieved it. Its happened to me before where contacts dont recieve a message for whatever reason. In that email I commented on the bike you showed me and extensively on regenerative science. Let me know if you got that message. I save all my messages (incoming and outgoing) I will be able to resend it if neccessary. Once again take care and get well now instead of soon
I have a couple of questions I was wondering if you could help me out with. First of all, do you know if becoming a Green Beret automatically assures you of a spot at HALO? I haven't been able to find out anything on that, I know you have to be Airborne qualified but I was wondering about HALO because I think that is possibly the coolest class offered by the military. Secondly, this one will be pretty easy for you, what does it mean to be "Plank Owner"?
Hello sir, my name is artin and I just finished reading your bio first let me say your experience has inspired me to push my self 110%, sir I want to become an seal and I have all ready spooked a littlie about it with the navy recruiter, but I still don’t know all that I need to know about becoming an seal for example how hard is BUDS what is BUDES I know if you want to be an seal you have to go there and pass it but then what is that the end of it or do you have to do more to become an seal sir I want to go to medicine can I do this in the navy seals I know I can do this in the navy but what about the seals I have one last question how do I get ready for BUDS? O and sorry about my typing Bad keyboard.
I tried replying to your message but your box is full. I am not going through BUDS right now. I will join the navy in a couple months and then do BUDS soon after. Right now I am just working out and studying everyday. I appreciate your encouragement and I will keep you updated on my progress. Also my name is John. Hope all is well with you and your family.
Thanks for the add and thanks for the wishes. I can't describe how excited I am about starting this journey to becoming a Green Beret. I have been tossing it up b/t Army SF or Navy SEALs or SWCC but ultimatley I came to the decision on the Army to follow in my grandfathers footsteps, not that he was a Green Beret. He was just an infantryman. However, as for me, I figured that if I am going to do something I might as well go all out and be the absolute best there is to offer and it will bring out the best in me. Again, thanks and if I have any questions maybe I can turn to you for answers.
Hi, q here, I was Wondering if you could be so kind to answer two of my questions. I am currently training for BUD/s, I do kick boxing, swimming, running, weightlifting, all most every day. My first question is do I have to do more for BUD/s, if so then what do you recommend. My seconded question is about my height I am about 6 feet 10 inches and I weigh about 315 pounds, well that be ok or what, and also my friend, who is also going for BUD/s is about 5 feet 6 inches and weigh about 178 pounds will that be ok? Thank you for your time.
I had a question for you. Is it better to go into BUD/S having been trained in SCUBA Diving already or should I just wait to get my training for when I get to BUD/S?
Just a brief note to say that I'm sorry it's been a while since I contacted you. Extremely busy at work and home lately. I haven't forgotten about you. Read what you wrote about yourself here and what an incredible life you lead. You are one truely amazing man! I'll try to give you a call before the 18th. If I can't manage that, I'll get a hold of you soon after that date. I haven't forgotten what you told me and just wanted to let you know that you are in my thoughts daily. Take care and we'll chat soon.
