Fy...that is the introduction thread to that forum.  I haven't heard of any recent fallen warriors.  It seems that "element" made a post in that intro thread which brought it back up onto the hot topics page.

Again, thanks for the info.  Sorry about mentioning that "other" place.  The last place I want to be right now is where there is more snow.  I'll take sunshine, warm temperatures, the ocean and a sandy beach right about now!!!

P.S.  Your inbox is full...might want to clear out some of the old stuff!

LOL! We went out to hear our favorite band and then home to sleep. I had to help my mom babysit the triplets the next day. Ugh. Taught me that late nights and 4 year olds DO NOT mix!

Does the Lord Nelson ring a bell when it comes to your hotel. That's very British and upscale. I spent 2 years doing weekend babysitting on Robben Island in 93 and 94, got to see parts of the Island no one else sees including the fortifications and the old landing strip from WW 2, I was also there the weekend Sir Edmund Hillary visited.

There's a helipad on Table Mountain these days, not noticeable from the ground but with the regular mountain rescues it was deemed necessary for landing choppers up there. Michael Jackson was here on holiday, stayed at the Table Bay hotel. He did think of a place here but I think our harsh sunshine and lack of laws protecting celebrities discouraged him. (not that we wanted him anyway)

With the exchange rate in your favor you can come and visit Cape Town any time.

I wish I was heading south right about now.  The temps are rising here and now there are flood watches all over due to all the snow we've had recently.  It's supposed to be close to 60 by tomorrow...this weather is CRAZY!!!  Only 8 more weeks to go and I will be back in the land of sunshine, sandy beaches and ocean breezes...I can't wait!!! ~Shar
