Almost anything but country, i dont have a favorite genre really, i just like good songs, and there are a couple ok country songs too.

The Art of War. The power of one. Into the Wild. those are pretty much the only books that i liked that i actually finished, otherwise im not really into reading.

Too many to list. 300 is probably at the top though.

Im about 5'10.5" currently 172lbs.and slowly rising. I love everything to do with the military. Theres just something about it that just interests me. Oh ya its the fact that Navy SEALs exist. Hooyah!! anyways i have wanted to be a SEAL ever since i was about 8 yrs. old, from when i just learned about them. I can still remember that day. Ever since there has been a burning desire deep down inside of me. And i knew that that was what i had to do. Now i am so close to getting my chance to do what i have wanted to do for 13 years. I AM going to be a SEAL some day. I WILL get there. No matter what it takes. I AM going to succeed. I have to. So for right now i am pretty much just focused on what i need to do to get there. Eye surgury being one of the things on my list. And ALOT of training. Running,Swimming,Studying, etc. stepping it up a little bit every day, because like they say, "the only easy day was yesterday"

I am a mechanic so working on cars is always a good time. and training to be a SEAL of coarse.

Hey BL. Let me know what your training regiment is like. What are your goals and how are you approaching them. Ive been researching nutrition and training regiments since I was 18 and have accumulated alot of information during that time. I have also tested that information according to my genetic make-up. I'm 225lbs and I'm going to weigh 190lbs at the end of this year. I'm classified as a Mesomorph and Im trying to create a balance between stregnth and endurance. I max out at 350 lbs (150kg) for the bench-press but my running isnt up to par yet. I ran a mile in 5 min and 56 seconds (best record) but now my mile is around 11 min. I can get back to the 6-9 min 1.5m in the next 3 months. Let me know what your trying to do and your own set goals. We can exchange nutritional information as well as training regiments. Take care M8 and I dont have to tell you not to give up because you already know that ...take care ^_^

Hey Bl_85, nice profile. I like your attitude and hope you dont have any clowns in your life doubting/disrespecting you about your desire to become "one of them". I have no support what-so-ever, until this site started to function properly. My "family" and my friends hate Bush, hate the military and preety bunch hate anything resembling the harsh realities in life. Just listen to your mind and heart  I thought I would infrom you (to the best of my knowledge) about your eye site problem. From what Ive read, you can get lasik eye surgery in the Navy and one year later you can resume/start your training. (You might want to ask/read around about this first if you dont already know. I knew a guy that hooked up my security system in my house who was in the coast gaurd for 6 yrs. He was in a motorcycle accident and his optic nerve was disconnected from his brain. In that case Lasik eye surgery wont help. If I had that problem (which I don't) I would look at sites like www.intercytex.com and wait for bio-engineers to develop permanent cure/modifications to the human body. I love science, specificly genetics and transgenics. Keep your head up and best of luck to you.

Education is paramont!  Just because you are physically doesnt mean that is all it takes to be a SEAL, let alone just to be in the NAVY.  Study to do your best on the entrance exams and of course keep fit and never loose sight of your dreams. HooYah!  You can do it!
