So you think you have what it takes to be a United States Navy SEAL? BUD/S goes way beyond just being cold wet, tired and miserable its about sacrifice and self sacrifice! How bad do you really want it. “THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COMBAT AND SPORT IS THAT IN COMBAT YOU BURY THE GUY WHO COMES IN SECOND”

Just like BUD/S instructors: this isn’t a popularity contest and to put into perspective I’m not here to argue or speculate. I have a tendency to operate communication, establish guidelines in a demanding way. If you plan to take the BUD/S challenge and you can’t tolerate the intensity of this proposal; you will “NEVER” be able to tolerate the intensity of SEA,AIR,LAND! If you can’t handle the antagonism of this campaign; YOU DON’T BELONG HERE! Honestly I don’t care if you like or dislike me. Get used to being treated like dirt because in reality that’s how life is. BUD/S is a game its where the failures quit, and the losers lose. Get used to being cold, wet, and tired. YOU THINK IT ENDS AFTER BUD/S? NO BUD/S IS JUST THE BEGINNING!

SEAL training is the “most” demanding, toughest, brutal, excruciating training known to man. The percentage of DORs (Dropped on Request) is a whopping 80percent. Physically, mentally prepared trainees drop occasionally during “HELLWEEK”. So you’re saying that you have the fortitude to be a United States Navy SEAL? Oh and let me ask you this…….. In a combat life and death situation are you prepared to make that decision to make that ultimate sacrifice, are you willingly to give up everything : die for your country , for your teammates, risk losing your family are they ready to lose you, are you willingly prepared to sacrifice your life so that others are free and may live? You let me know your answer. Becoming a United States Navy SEAL isn’t easy . A United States Navy SEAL isn’t the job for everyone. A SEAL cannot just be picked out of a crowed. If that was the case there’d be more than .5% of the NAVY that are SEALs. I plan to go through BUD/S and in a lot of ways; honestly as a Minnesotan and I tell the truth; I’ am a better swimmer than many people. Like Minnesotans I’ve been swimming since the age of ten, as physically prepared as I’ am the mental ability to tolerate cold is by far the greatest mettle obstacle, fear, and desire. Even as downright utterly prepared as I’ am honestly I don’t think I’m ready for the intense challenges awaiting me. If you think you have the fortitude, determination, integrity, desire and the ability to exceedingly surpass me? Then you might just have a chance.

Liberals!Every liberal is a critic! watch this movie listen to this music, 911 could've been prevented, BLAME BUSH! you mentally ill, ignorant, spoiled, lazy, arrogant liberal Americans. Its all propaganda ! We cant even stop illegal immigration, we cant even stop poverty, we have a corrupted health care, we cant even provide the basic need such as jobs. Now you want to remove “GOD” from our pledge our anthem??? Stop pointing the finger when its really us, and as a society. You deliberately and symmetrically aim denunciation at the president. If you hate him so much then why don’t you leave. With all due respect the door isn’t far and no one is certainly going to stop you. Its ashamed there are people like you. You’re the type that invalidate everything we as Americans stand for.

Math,School, swimming, swimming in cold water, running, running in wet clothing,Karate and Mountain biking.

I commend you for your wanting to serve. I would however ask you to reconsider your mindset. While I think you may have the internal drive to do anything you like I don't think your doing yourself any justice by saying what your saying. It's more about balance. You seem to like to run you mouth a little to much about IMHO things you don't know about yet.

While I am sure you know a fair amount about the SEALs I do caution you to get a little more focused and maybe wait a bit until you are a little more mature.

You "Capitolizm?" comments show that you don't really know what capitolizm is or what it's about. While I agree with your comments after that about A.N.S. I think you might want to really think before you spew.

Keep swimming, Keep running, keep doing pull-up and no help sit ups. Push-ups and dive-bomb push-ups and you should in the end be ok. I was running 3 -6 miles a day, swimming 2 -3 miles a day and al the other stuff, in order to get my chance to go to BUDs but never made it.

Thanks for leaving that real cocky self-described impression og yourself on my home page.  I'm impressed. A little!   First off, my name is Leiutenant Commander Amir Pishdad, I am a graduate of class 80 Jan 1975. I have served in UDT-21, SEAL TM 2,  UDT-11, a plank owner of SEAL Team FIVE,  I have served on several Staffs, NSWG-1 and CINPACFLT.  I have also served in the Navy SEAL Reserve NR SEAL TM 1-3-5.  (now renamed NR SEAL Tms 1,3, 5)

I retired after 20 years and a spinal cord injury.  I own a diving company in San Diego.  ProDiveSanDiego.com  Our company services priviate yachts and US Coast Guard Vessels.

Your additude yet cocky, just may be the stuff that will help you endure the many times in BUD/S training that you will ask yourself if you REALLY want it! Believe me you will ask yourself.  But confidence and self assurance will be your best allies.  So, while I do know what it takes to be a SEAL, I also know how to be humble too!  Keep in touch and let me know when you get to BUD/S so I can encourage you to keep a positive attitude and tackle every evolution with 110+ percent!  HooYah! Young Man!

Hey, no worries bro. You arent the first person to have questioned my motives. As you know, simply making the decision to become a SEAL is difficult enough once you get past all the cool stuff.

I'm looking forward to that vid. Dont worry about the cold, and to prevent leg injury just angle your legs a little bit before you hit. Almost like you are sitting but not quite, you dont want en enima...haha. But that way you will go in at an angle and not straight down. Have fun!
