It's 77 in Chi Town, sunny with a light breeze.  Unfortunately that means it is perfect weather for me to mow my lawn...

I was the DD tonight so I only had one Margarita then I had to switch to ice water and hot tea.  The A/C in the place had to be set at about 60...it was freezing in the hall.  We were all out on the deck since the hall was right on the water...much warmer outside than inside.

I was on the West Coast and flew home last Friday.  Right now I'm on the East Coast for some other "I do's" later today.  All this back and forth is taking it's toll.  I just woke up and I already feel like I need a nap.

I've been good. It's winter here and I think I'm freezing my tushy off but it's only 57F so my American friends are laughing at me and telling me how it snows by them and gets colder than that. It's pretty wet too, been raining quite a bit, I got soaked taking photos at the opening of parliament. It was quite funny. Hubby took one look at me shivering and wet in my SEAL t-shirt and said to me "so you're cold, wet and tired all you need now is to be sandy and you're all set" But it was still lots of fun getting to stand behind 4 25pound WW2 guns as they fired a 21 gun salute. I'd brave any weather to hear and see those guns fire. Plus now that I'm the units photographer I get to attend any event where the guys are firing their guns. One of the photos I took last year at night is still being talked about 7 months later and they're having the photo enlarged to poster size and mounted.
