I can run  1mile in 9min flat...the fastest mile I have ever ran was 5min and 52 sec. When I ran that, I wasn't in training. I just weighed 160lbs. I'm down to 224lbs now and my goal is to reach 200lbs. by March 21st. (spring) Once I weigh around 190lbs...I should be able to run an 8min mile consistently, while attempting  5 miles or more.

Please dont worry about your english...I have no trouble communicating with you what-so-ever. Its me that should appologize for not knowing how to speak your native toungue . And yes, in the Warrior Elite, Dick Couch mentioned the 39 yrs old who went through BUD/s and retired when he was 45. I also read on the forums on this site, that one of the oldest to attempt BUD/s was 37 yrs old. If you have what it takes...I dont see why they wouldn't want to take a qualified individual. I don't have a running program per se... I just try to run as long as I can...then walk until I recover and run again...until my body tells me to stop, and start over again the next day...it's not very scientific...but I'm just building up my endurance in running...before I attempt any other programs.

I'm still training. I want to enlist under the SEAL challenge contract but I wont actually do it unless I feel confident that I can attempt and succeed in that program. I can hardley run 5 miles without it being a challenge...much less the 10-14 miles BUD/s trainees run on a daily basis. Im following a training program that will last till mid May...then I will train like a mad man and sign up for the SEAL fit camp for the month of June. After that experience, I will see a recruiter and a SEAL dive motivator...and go from there. I will most likely enter into a DEP program to insure I am more then qualified (academically and physically). I have just finished reading The Warrior Elite. In that book, a guy entered the BUD/s program when he was 39 yrs old !!! I'm not trying to follow in his foot steps ...but Im very optomistic, as well as realistic, and very persistent. My heart is into it, I just have to make sure my ass is as well . I'm hoping to perform well at the SEAL fit camp...and if I succeed in that...I will feel more confident for accomplishing that, as well as get advice and hopfully some guidance from the staff that runs that camp. Good luck to you and your goal to run 5! Olympic Triatholons !!!  I breifly read about Goggins...he is inspriational
