A Navy Wife's Prayer by Sue Ellen Groseclose-Combs How often we've stood on dark flight lines and piers... "I love you," "I'll miss you" whispered through tears. During long seperations, in peacetime, at war... my nights filled with dreams of this man I adore. With only my memories to hold close at night... I live for the day God returns my sunlight. Yes, life goes on when your loved one's at sea... but the ache never leaves, the fear stays with me. Dear Lord, I need your guidance, your love... help me be brave, keep your watch from above. Hold my dear one so safe in your heart and your hand... bring him home to his family...this hero...my man. Of us, Lord, I pray he'll be filled with such pride... of how we carried on without him by our side. Please, help time fly quickly and soon I will hold... the hand of the man whose eyes chase the cold. Whose voice brings delight, whose touch eases pain. How will I ever say "Farewell" again? With your help, dear God, I'll try to stay strong... and pray that his time here at home will be long. Still, "I know that the Navy will need him," I sigh... but we'll face it together, Dear Lord, you and I. I love you babe, you make us all so proud! Do ya thing baby! God Bless and we'll see you soon!

Thank you for your note and a big thank you for those kind words. Your comment about a former life made me smile.

We got as many pics as we could for the drawing and it looks pretty good. The search for pics led hubby to buying me 2 books on the Nightstalkers

I'm doing very well, it's summer over here. My one aunt and uncle from England are visiting for the month and we're having a great time. They braught me 2 presents for Xmas, one has to wait till the day to open but the other I got to open on Friday. My aunt knows I have quite the sense of humor and a wicked mind so she baught me a phalic shaped 8 inch piece of candy. We were all laughing so hard when I opened it I couldn't breathe, my brother was on the floor and my hubby was in tears.

I also got a really lovely anniversary present from hubby in October. Here's a link to the picture I put on facebook.

Right now I'm sending as many good thoughts and prayers to the 3 Team guys in the USA, I sat and cried reading that news story. Fingers are crossed and I'm praying hard for them.

Hope you and your loved ones are doing well and have a great month and holidays.  Happy Holidays to you too.

Take care

Kia ora Team wife,

Its great to hear from you, I hope you and hubby are both doing well. I'm glad you loved NZ, its a pretty special place but I'm just biased because I live here. So where did the two of you visit? I guess just places like Auckland, Rotorua, Queenstown etc? Did you go bungy jumping? Was everyone friendly?

As for my novel I'm on a go slow, we just had four weeks of visitors at our house and life was crazy and now they've gone I'm having trouble getting back into it. Its actually been 2 years now since I started the damn thing and its still not finished. Feeling a bit down but not out I am going to finish it even if it kills me

Anyways its great to see you back, hope to see you more often. Happy Holidays.

KG

Welcome Back! When I got the email saying I had received a comment from you, my first thought was...I wonder if she's feeling Beaverific! Things on my end have been crazy hectic lately and I am hit or miss on the site during the day. Thank you for the kind words, but it really is a Team effort here. I will be sure to pass along your message. I hope you and yours are all well and safe. Happy Holidays to you and your family as well!
