MY LASIK EXPERIENCE
DATE: 11/08/2007 19:09:15 / MOOD: accomplished

SO.. $4000 later, I can now see 20/15, and its like looking into a whole new world.  Downside is now I am disqualified for 6 months now compared to 3 from PRK.  But after talking to the doc, he suggested that I go with lasik, PRK is more for people where lasik is not an option. Not only that but it is not all of a sudden you can see after the operation like you can with lasik.  PRK uses a substance that sort of dissolves the cornea instead of cutting a flap. It is painful and you cant really do anything for about a week, including see very well. I couldnt really get that much time off work though, it was hard enough to get the 3 days i needed to get lasik. So anyways, all in all I am glad i have gotton the surgury over with, now I am over one more hurdle and that much closer to getting my chance. I am happy with the results, and even though its an extra 3 months, thats just more time ill have to train and be more prepaired for BUDs.  HOOYAH!!!
