Need Some feedback Folks...

07/28/2011 21:28:42 / annoyed

About two (2) years ago I posted a blog here relating to my background, and specifically stating to EVERYONE that I was never a SEAL.

Today I received a telephone call from a former SEAL that works hard to check out claims about fake SEALs.  He was doing his job and I have NO issue with that at all.  My issue is that the complaint was instigated by a former employee that I terminated for stealing money from my gym members and writing worthless checks for items he to told vendors he was purchasing for my business.

I've been a loyal member here since the very first web-site, and I consider Mark D a friend.  I've attempted to call him, but business has him swamped!

My attorney advised me to let it pass as this guy is well-known locally for what he is. What do you think?  Any and all input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, D

If you have proof that he actually stole money from the members of your gym, it would be the responsibility of those members to go after him in a court of law.

Were these checks he wrote from your business account or his personal account?  If he was using your account, I would think you have a case against him.  However, if he wrote them from his own personal account, I would simply send out a letter to these vendors clearly stating that he did not have your permission to purchase any thing for your business and that you apologize for any inconvenience this former employee caused.

To me, it wouldn't matter how "well known" he is.  It's a matter of integrity and clearly this guy doesn't have any.  Sometimes it is best to let sleeping dogs lie.

Good Luck,

Dennis I don't know much about US laws but is there any chance of suing the guy for the lies he's telling as well as suing to get back your money?

You've been my friend for 4yrs now and from the very start you made sure I understood you were not a SEAL nor have you ever been. You're a good person and an amazing friend.
