Is that YOU on the rock in the picture? Where was it taken? I went to college at Oberlin, taught at Hiram and went to Kent State for graduate school in the 80's. I remember Hillsboro. :)
Thank you Eric for making me one of your top friends. My goal while a member of this site is to motivate, inspire and encourage potential candidates to reach down deep inside of themselves to discover what it is that they really want. You may think that you want to be a SEAL, but do you REALLY? Do you really know all that is involved and the commitment? Well I hope to help answer some of your concerns and to encourage you to discover many on your own, just like all of us that did become SEALs. Did somone mention lots of swimming...don't forget running, and physical endurance. Just to name a few. Don't make it harder than it REALLY IS! HooYah!
Hi Eric. Thanks for the friends request. I would like to get to know you better. Good luck with your swimming practices when they start. You can't be a SEAL unless you can swim good, so really practice. Have you read the book "Lone Survivor" By Marcus Luttrell? If not, I highly recommend it. He goes into great details about the process of Indoc, training, BUD/S and Hell Week. You can almost feel like you are there while reading it. The book is the true story of Operation Redwing and the heroic SEALs of SEAL Team 10. If you haven't read it, definitely get the book. It is an amazing story of what it means to be a SEAL. So let's stay in touch and happy new year to you! TTYS. Marilyn
