I retired at the age of 68 to enjoy the golden years.

 The golden years are not that golden.  Seems like it should be a time to relax, has been anything but that.  

 I was born in L.A. raised in Denver and joined the Navy in 1956.  I was in VA 126 for four years.  Got out and went to SD State Univ. No GI bill then.  I guess I am not a veteran, seems those years are not included in any veteran forum.  I worked for the Navy in the computer world from 1967 to 2006 as a civilian contractor.  Now at my age I am getting a divorce so life never seems to settle down. I have always been interested in keeping in shape and doing genealogy research.
