Cruising around the site, voting and commenting on polls and commenting to the person that made the poll. I bumped into your comment while sending kmonty a message. I liked your plan/thoughts. I dont know how long it will take you to get in but in my opinoun your on the right track. From the research I have done the main reason for failing or quiting the Seal program is  coming in unprepared and not knowing if this is what you really want. All I can say from my own personal expereience is dont procrastinate or you will be cutting it short and the pressure doubles. (not that that should stop anyone) I would also like to mention that surrounding yourself with good people and family helps a lot (if you have one) and dont let negative people into your life. Regardless of any reason or excuse, if this is what your heart & mind wants, dont let anything or anyone stand in your way and give it your all, every last breath. ^_^ take care and good luck !

So you think you have what it takes to to be a United States Navy SEAL? if you can exceedingly surpass me than you might just have a chance! Remember a career as a United States Navy SEAL isn't for everyone. A SEAL cannot just be picked out of a crowd! You think it ends afterBUD/S? NO BUD/S is just the beginning Get used to being cold wet and miserable at some point you have to make that decision, be willing to make that ultimate sacrifice when the time comes you have to decide how bad you want it, if you are willingly to give up everything, even family! "The difference between combat and sport is that in combat you bury the guy who comes in second."

You do realize that getting through BUD/S isn't easy alot of people say that they "want to" be a certified United States NAVY SEAL isn't as easy as you think or say it is. BUD/S, You do know that SEAL training is the "most" demanding, toughest, brutal, excruciating training known to man right? the percentage of DORs (Dropped On Request)is  80 percent. Physically prepared, Mentally prepared trainees drop occasionally due to the lack of the warmth(HELLWEEK). So you're saying that you have what it takes to be a SEAL? I'm a Minnesotan I've been swimming since i was 10, i challenge myself  mentally/physically to swim in cold water for 1 mile, run ten miles in wet clothing and ill tell you the truth that iam better than 73% of people who say they "want" to. If you think you have what it takes to exceedingly surpass me than a then someone like yourself might just have a chance. Becoming a United States Navy SEAL isn't for everyone, a SEAL isn't someone picked out of a crowd. I've seen the most prepared trainee for BUD/S quit or get medically get dropped. The job of a Navy SEAL isn't for everyone, if that was the case there be more than .5% of the Navy are SEALs. Remember you have (college) degree(s) right? there are plenty of jobs in the civilian  world.

Im a high school junior and by the time i graduate i'll be completely both physically and mentally, but as organized as iam i dont think im ready for BUD/S.Everyday when i workout, i push myself to the exceeding limits of asking myself "what am i fighting for, what purpose is this, what am i to prove? to whom am i fighting for". BUD/S is a war of attrition even to this day, this moment as comfortable as I'am in the water the ability to tolerate cold is by far the greatest obstacle. Going through BUD/S or during HELLWEEK at some point you are gonna find yourself asking you the same questions i did. Remember that when you're wet, cold and tired you are gonna find yourself in lost in these misgiving uncertainties. A lot of people(kids) dont realize the intensity of BUD/S and from my perspective being a United States NAVY SEAL "isn't for every one"
