Stll choppin' away, messed up my back lifting (probably due to bad form) so I've been seeing a chiro for about a month, still got another 2 to go. Still doing some light lifting in the meantime but I can't run a lick until I get it all straightened out.
As for BUD/S, it's all still up in the air. I've made excuse after excuse and haven't signed a contract yet. Quickly getting to the point where I either gotta get on the horse or get out of the pen, but gonna be a tough decision either way. At this point it's either the military or a wife. Having both is pretty much not gonna happen.
You must have missed the 3 prior, sucks to be you! Am I to take your comment as a "YES" vote in keeping this theme year round? It seems to bother JLP...you should check out the comment I left for him a while back. He has yet to respond...things that make you go hmmm. You should see the BCA T's I have...
As I've said several times here...it's all about the suck! I could use a whole lot of humor these days...although I'm using that to get past the recent stress that has entered my life lately. I'm just rolling with the flow day after day.
I was born and raised a Chi Town suburbanite gal. When I headed out of town a week ago it had been in the mid to high 80's and humid as could be. Right now I'm on the West coast in San Dogg. The weather has been picture perfect until today when heavy clouds made their way up from Mexico...I headed up north towards Carlsbad and it was much warmer but still cloudy. Spent Tuesday night with Honorman and got sauteed then completely D-runk on Wednesday with him when we were watering hole hopping...needless to say we had a BLAST! He said I wasn't that bad but I was told by someone else that we met up with later that night that I am a "loveable" drunk; until someone else tries to pay the bill. I took that as a compliment as I have never seen a "loveable" drunk.
Hey, in your about me section, you said that you a computer science major. I'm just wondering, is it interesting? I've always been interested in working with computers as something as a Plan B for becoming a SEAL, and I'm really good with computers. I'm just wondering if you would be able to tell me if computer science would be good for somebody who learns things very quickly on computers, can type well, and is good with software and hardware.
Good luck on your race tomorrow. Finish that mofo. Great training blog I go there sometimes and check your benchmark WOD times great job. Im trying to beat your "Grace" and "Fran" times im about a minute off each.
That's only because we called you out on doing drive-bys! Those comments were some time ago, it's been 6 months already but I believe the last ones were back towards the end of March/beginning of April. I just noticed that I need to do another sweep and clean it up my page a bit. Sorry about that!
I ran a 20k up in Boulder the other day...decided to rock my Nike Frees...my OLD Nike Frees... The midsoles litterally fell apart at about mile 3...finished the motherf%/*#er barefoot. Cant get much more "Free" than that.

Hey thanks for the great comments on the Endurance vs. Strength issue, very helpful. Actually because of that Im starting a powerlifting routine tomorrow. Keep training, and thanks for the great posts.
Thank you for your comment regarding my contribution to NSC. I have added you to my friends and look forward to helping you realize the dream of becoming a SEAL. Aim high and always look ahead. Success is just within your reach! HooYah!
When do you think you will enlist? Will you go to OCS? If you have any questions, don't be afraid to shoot them my way and I can pass them on to my hubby.
Hello! Thought I'd say "Hi" since you didn't have the courtesy to earlier. I kid, I kid. The profile side was a whole different world to me at first, too.
I didn't realize you were at Fordham -- I had two friends graduate their recently. Cool beans!
There are a few of us who don't it when people who do drive-by's. They are referred to as lurkers. It's somewhat on the rude side...I mean at least leave a smiley or something! To be honest, the profile side has been a whole lot busier than the forum side lately. You have no idea what you are missing out on! Well, with the exception of the TOOL from last Friday and a few of the other newbs. Thanks for the kind words, it isn't always all it's cracked up to be but we enjoy what we do.
HAHA. Well, to be honest, I'd probably settle for title of "Super Hero" ;) You know, solving the worlds physics problems by day, killing bad guys at night. Sounds like fun to me ...
On another note: Keep up the good work in school and training. You have a lot of good advice on the fitness forums, and I'm a big fan of computer dweebs and those that can program. Cheers.
I started out at Auburn and am on the verge of transferring to the University of Texas. It's funny, now that I'm starting to get into the higher level CS courses, it's been kinda tough. The physics on the other hand seems to come more naturally.
Keep training hard, sounds like you're on the right path. Who knows, we might even run into each other one day...life has a funny way of crossing paths. - V
No this will be my first, I figure that I am training for it at the same time that I am training for the reserves it will be good for my mind set for both. My goal is to do a triathelon before my 40th bday.
Holy Crap that is awesome. I had to put the marathon on hold due to my training courses for the reserves. I'm planning on doing the one in San Diego at the end of may, Rsctt's planning on pacing me so that should be cool. Let me know how you do on the big one, I'll cheer you on while I'm doing my ruck hump or PT that day.
NP, I heard through the grapevine that he is well but has been busy. I will have my source let him know that he needs to get back here posting. Did you ever do your run that Rsctt mentioned before?
