I have to say that the no present Christmas was lovely. We all had a nice time, without the pressure.
How was your holiday season other than present buying? Your hubby got to come home, right? Mine was mellow- I made some lists of things I want to get done this year, and now I am totally motivated to get going on them.
I also bought the nike + iPod thing- it is totally cool to see my average mileage pace and it is tracking all of my walks/runs so that I can keep to my training for May.
I'm jealous! I want to run. I told my mom I was going to start running and she said, "Caitlin, you have been saying that for over a month now and I have yet to see you even put on a shoe. So shut up with the running crap." bahahahah Eh. maybe next week. lol
Well gf left me a pic of some pussy cats...2 were of her and K trying to tuck and run in a box looking guilty as sin and the next was of me after they had allegedly shoved me in the pool. My fur was soaked!!! For some reason, gf decided to sneak back to my page and delete it. TY for the agreement on the shade of lipstick...definitely is fuchsia...not RED!!!
No problem, I figured you were busy with your man for the holidays. Hope you had a good time. The kids drove me crazy over the Christmas break, yayyyyy they went back to school today. Went to the gym this morning and started back running, feel a bit stiff but not to bad.
No worries. How were the holidays over your way? The weather was much nicer in Tennessee over Christmas. My daughter stayed another week and the gran-parents brought her home this weekend. Have you had any time to run over the holidays?
Hey there! Good to hear that you had an awesome time with your hubby! I've been very naughty and not doing much writing. I've been addicted to/reading Stephanie Myer's Twilight series. Just have to read the last book now, but they are all sold out in the city where I live. Its a beautiful love story. Are you back to work yet?
Hiya xjs! Thanks for the belated wishes and no worries on the time frame. I know you were a bit busy with the hub at home again. Haha...fur day...you have to check out page 2 on my page...gf referred to K and I as Pussy Cats! Go figure...huh?
Hey! Hope you and your hubby are having an awesome time together and are going to have fun on New Years Eve! Last night was New Years Eve for us, went out and had a BBQ with friends. I drank a few too many Cosmopolitans but it was fun
Oh, and I hate it when I think I have the x-mas shopping all done and then realize that there are a few more left. It's like you let go of all the shopping adrenaline, then have to ramp it back up again to head out into the crowds.
My family decided on a no presents x-mas- just a low key dinner and relaxing. I think we all got lazy this year, we'll get back into it next year.
Woohoo!!! on your guy coming home for the holidays- you must be so excited to see him again. I know it is only a month since T'sgiving, but time can drag along pretty slowly when you are missing someone.
I am getting more confident that I will be able to finish the marathon, my mileage is pretty comfortable right now, but I will definitely still be the last one of our group across the finish line. S'ok with me, as long as there is a chair at the table with you guys when I am finally done!
I can't imaging trying to run when there is snow- brrrrrrr.
Happy Monday to you, just checking in to see how you are doing. I hope your weather hasn't been too bad- otherwise you really should move up that date to get out to San Dog.
I have upped my daily mileage- now I walk/run to work and back which is 8 miles round trip, then add on some treadmill hill work 3x week. Still much more walking than running, but I am definitely feeling like my running will pick up soon.
I booked my hotel in Coronado for May, and I am REALLY looking forward to the marathon!
I will just say sorry now then, you see I am one of the ones in the grandma with the lincoln lane. I drive a truck and opted for the tonno instead of the cap because I thought it looked better. Well every winter I curse myself because I had to be vain. There is absolutely no weight in the back of the truck and slides all over the place. Shar and I had so much fun, I cant wait to do it again. How was Boston?
Mudder---hummm only when I fall in it! LOL. I've been stuck and high centered plenty. "Dirty Girl" is a name a guy out at the track gave me. Not flattering, but funny, I earned DG on the course whan I was pulling a guy off high center, missed the d-ring and fell backwards in the mud. That would only happen to me.
Tell me about it I hate running outside in the cold and snow, I drove through a major winter storm in Michigan this weekend going to Chicago to see Shar. Hope you had a good time seeing the hubby, I know it must have been hard to say goodbye again. I will be going to the gym tomorrow, today I have to finish painting the trim in the living room since I am hosting Christmas this year.
Stalllkerrr! Haha - thanks for stopping by! My weekend/week has been so crazy, I am in the midst of knocking a couple of walls out and expanding my bedroom while I am staying at my parents (hey, my brothers and sisters moved out and they don't need it so now I am taking over their space!). Keeps me busy while the hubby is a way though so I am not complaining! Hope you have an amazing week as well! :)
Wow- being the sissy California girl, I would be packing my bags and heading west after 2 inches of snow, let alone 12! Hope you had a GREAT visit with your hubby over Thanksgiving, nothing beats face time with the ones you love.
I am working my way up in the mileage slowly but surely, and am able to run longer portions without my knee hurting too bad. I booked my hotel for the marathon, and am SO looking forward to May!
Actually, he's not getting to come after all. Somebody messed up his orders and it will be Jan 5th before he gets to come to Pensacola. I'd go see him but I can't take off work at all. Not one day. If I had known this earlier I'd have gone out there over T'giving when I had 4 days off. He just found out Friday, the day he was supposed to leave.
Happy Thanksgiving to all that view my page. Thanks for taking the time to remember me and for your thoughts. I would like to say to all on NSC, thanks for helping me to continue to contribute to NSC and those here that have the dream and burn... and need my help to put the two together. Thanks to all my friends who have become like family... I will be forever in your debt. Enjoy this special day with your family and friends and remember to reach out to help someone every day... you never know just how much your thoughtfullness is making a difference in someones life or their dream.
Hey K. I'm back from holiday! Had a great relaxing time and now have to get used to normal life again. Only a couple of days till you get to see your husband!! You must be so excited.
Hah! I think all of NSC will be on Ambien watch- the comments are too funny.
Going to a hockey game on Saturday night- other than that not a whole lot going on this weekend. I am hoping to get some swimming in, but we'll see how I feel about that when I actually put the suit on.
Happy Thursday to you... how many days until you get to see your honey?
Cool I figured that you would want to and I will keep you posted on what is going on with it. I want to get as many peeps as possible so if you know of anyone that wants to do it, tell them about it. How was the party?
My mom asked if i wanted her to buy me a ticket to fly out to SD over T'giving but she had forgotten she'd booked us to see the Tut exhibit in Atlanta that Friday. I've wanted to see that for years.
Hi. I'm glad to hear you had a great time. My weekend was okay. I'm looking forward to this weekend How is your husband doing? Not long till you see him! J.
Sounds like you had a fun time! And definitely, the gamers were probably drooling with a live Lara in the bar.
The walking/running is going well- I am doing intervals and hills on my treadmill, and it is kicking my butt right now. But, it feels good so far. How is your running going?
So how was the party? I am waiting for some information on how we can raise money for the Naval Special Warfare Foundation when we do the marathon. If you are interested in doing this with the rest of us that would be great, there are about 11 or 12 right now planning to do it.
