Re: If i drop from Bud/s???
It's definately beneficial to have a backup plan. I'm going to go to the U.S. Naval Academy. If I were to get dropped from BUD/s, (o's only get one shot at BUD/s) I'd go into Surface Warfare. So it's good to ask yourself the question: what if I don't make it? What will I do in the Navy?
Yet, if you're one of the guys who constantly says, 'what if I quit?' BUD/s will not be fun, and you will probably not last long. You can be in better shape than Ryan Hall, Michael Phelps and the strongest man combined, but when the pain starts getting ramped up, if you don't have that mental desire and commitment to stay when most guys go, you wont make it. Anyone entering BUD/s needs to have the "I'll die before I quit" mindset.
I would think really hard about going to BUD/s. What you're asking isn't a dumb question by any means, you (like many have said before) cannot let it overcome yourself. Anyways, good luck with BUD/s man.
