MC-130E and MC-130H Combat Talon I/II

The Combat Talon is another version of the C-130, specially modified for Air Force Special Operations Command. Its primary missions are day and night insertion and extraction, resupply, psychological operations, and aerial reconnaissance in hostile territory. The Combat Talons conduct all-weather, all-terrain, low-level infiltration below radar to airland or airdrop personnel and equipment in remote, austere, and unmarked landing/drop zones, day or night. The Combat Talons can be refueled by air for extended mission range. The Combat Talon I is also capable of air refueling specially modified helicopters to extended their mission range.
