In addition to the Community Standards and Conduct Guidelines specified in the Terms and Conditions, the following guidelines are intended to improve enhance your experience in the NavySEALs.com forums.
The goal of the forums is to provide an online community for people who are SEALs or other Special Operations professionals, those who want to become SEALs/SOF or have family/friends who are SEALs/SOF. There are different forums for different topics. Please post in the appropriate place.
FORUM ADMIN: Moderators have the confidence of NavySEALs.com and speak for the site. With the exception of Mark, who runs NavySEALs.com, the moderators will remain anonymous. DO NOT attack the moderators. If you do, you will be asked to leave.
SCREEN NAMES: If you are not a present or retired SOF operator, you may not have a screen name that indicates that you are one.
OPSEC: Do not discuss any Tier One units or any classified forces.
ADVERTISING: No advertising for other sites or products not carried here is allowed on this site.
POSTING: Do not post under any other account but your own. If your wife has an account, you should not post from it; create your own account. If your husband has an account, do not post from it; create your own account.
STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES: All forums are moderated. Paying members’ posts are posted immediately. Non-paying members’ posts are all reviewed by a moderator before they are posted to the forums. Posts that do not follow the guidelines will be deleted. The purpose of moderation is not to control content, but maintain civility on these forums.
NEWCOMERS: New members should read for several weeks before posting AND learn to use the Search function. Most questions about becoming a SEAL have already been answered on here, and you are expected to have searched on here for the answer BEFORE you ask a question. Failure to do so will result in being a laughingstock in this community.
New members must earn the trust of the community. When edicts are issued by a moderator, please follow them.

DISAGREEMENTS: If you disagree with someone, do it without flaming, public personal attacks, or wandering too far off the topic of the original thread. Make sure that the discussion stays on track and both of you make progress towards an understanding, if it's possible.
If the disagreement comes to a point where neither of you are making a logical argument anymore, simply agree to disagree or your thread will likely be locked or deleted.
WRITING STYLES: You will become known by the words you write, and by the respect you show others. Intelligently worded and researched questions get the same quality answers; unresearched, redundant and/or illiterate questions tend to be used as cannon fodder.
COMMON CIVILITY: These forums are a place to exchange ideas and information. They are not a place for name-calling, slams, attacks, etc. Repeat offenders
should expect ramifications. Being on these forums is not a "right" -- it is a privilege that can be revoked at any time. Remember that. In other words, it's our playground too, and we like it when everyone gets along. No throwing sand.

We can add forums or delete forums at any time if there is a special topic which is garnering so much attention that it needs its own place to flourish. Send the moderators your recommendations.

We will evaluate your application in good faith and will notify you of its acceptance or rejection. We may reject your application if we determine (in our sole discretion) that your site is unsuitable for the affiliate program. Unsuitable sites include, but are not limited to, those that:
- promote sexually explicit materials
- promote violence
- promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age
- promote illegal activities
- otherwise violate intellectual property rights.
By participating in the affiliate program you agree that you will not engage in any such activities. If we reject your application, you are welcome to reapply at any time. You should also note that if we accept your application and your site is thereafter determined (in our sole discretion) to be unsuitable for the affiliate program, we may terminate this agreement.
