Harry Humphries was born November 17, 1940. He joined the Navy after High School and went through UDTR Class 29. After serving on UDT 22 he volunteered for SEAL Team TWO.
Harry did two tours in Vietnam, the first one with Richard Marcinko in SEAL Team TWO’s Eight Platoon and the second one as a PRU advisor.
During the Tet offensive Harry and a few other SEALs drove through Chau Doc to rescue medical personnel trapped in the crossfire. Harry received the Silver Star for this action.
In 1969, having reached the rank of First Class Petty Officer, Harry left the Navy and started his company Global Study Group, Inc. GSS trains law enforcement officers and provides technical consulting to stunt men and the movie industry.
Harry has worked on notable films such as “The Rock”, “Bad Boys 2”, and “Black Hawk Down.”
