November 20, 2019 in Special Operations Forces News

After 18 years of the fight in Afghanistan, following the events of 9/11 in 2001, Jane Ferguson reports on the increasing violence and interviews several members of the insurgent group. Ferguson met with Taliban members in the Wardak province. Through a translator, one man named Motmaeen says “I am fully confident that America is being defeated and will be defeated. And they will be humiliated when they leave.” A local to the area claims he was mistaken as a member of the Taliban, leading to him being beaten and his car and motorcycle burned by Afghan special forces. Other reports of Afghan troops killing children and seniors are recounted, despite the claims being unsupported.
