Scott Helvenston was born on June 21, 1965 in Ocala, Florida.
He joined the Navy at the age of 16, with special permission, and at the age of 17 became the youngest SEAL graduate ever. He spent 12 years with the SEALs, in Team FOUR, Team ONE, and as a PT and free fall instructor. He later worked in Hollywood on the movies “G.I. Jane” and “Face/Off”. Scott also made his own exercise videos which may still be available on Ebay. Navy SEAL Training Camp Series DVD and True Fit Training System DVD.
Ever an adventure-seeker, Scott went to work for Blackwater. Shortly after signing on a two-month contract, Scott and three colleagues were killed in an ambush in Fallujah, Iraq on March 31, 2004, while providing security to a food catering company.
