Trivia Tuesday – Log PT

February 19, 2013
Mark Divine No Comments NSWC

Today’s trivia question comes from the physical training in first phase of BUD/S; Log PT.  There are many different exercises that boat crews must experience with the logs that litter the beach in front of the SEAL Training Center in Coronado.  These exercises involve above arm lifts as well as boat crew sit-ups while holding your log across your chest.  If a boat crew drops their log, does a poor job during log physical training, or came in last during a previous training event they may be reprimanded by having to pick up the largest log within the stack of logs.  This beast of a log is marked and sits waiting to punish the boat crew who must bear its weight.  What is the name of this log?
