Save the Rhinos – Navy SEALs Fight Poachers

April 30, 2013
Mark Divine No Comments SEAL News

What do three Navy SEALs and a Green Beret do on their off time?  They travel deep within the wild frontier of Africa to save the endangered African Rhino.  Navy SEAL, Jeff Wobig, and colleagues spent six weeks in Africa battling poachers who hunt the black rhinos for its horn and are driving the beasts to extinction.  Last year, almost 700 Rhinos and 100 park rangers lost their lives because of poachers.

The show “Battleground: Rhino Wars” debuted last month on Animal Planet.  You can also track their missions online at AnimalPlanet.com.

Read more about this story and an interview Wobig had with the Military Times.
