Shall Not Have Died In Vain

May 27, 2013 Shall Not Have Died In Vain
Mark Divine No Comments NSWC

“Until the world knows no aggressors, until the arms of tyranny have been laid down, until freedom has risen up in every land, we shall maintain our vigil to make sure our sons who died on foreign fields shall not have died in vain.” Lyndon B. Johnson

While Memorial Day was initially intended to honor the fallen of the American Civil War, it would take another century before it would be recognized as a national holiday of remembrance. I can think of no greater warrior to recall on this day than Navy SEAL Michael Monsoor. For those who are unaware of his sacrifice, take a moment to read the article by Ed Feulner.

Celebrate this day of remembrance with joy; they all would have wanted it that way. God Bless America and all who defend the constitution it upholds.
