UCLA Football To Train With Navy SEALs

August 8, 2013
Mark Divine No Comments SEAL News

According to SB Nation – Bruins Nation, the UCLA football program will begin training with Navy SEALs to start their fall program.  While this type of move is unprecedented for UCLA, it is not the first time a college football team has trained with SEALs to enhance their program.  The Michigan Wolverines head coach sent his players to go through a leadership training course run by former Navy SEALs.  Additionally, Northwestern football players have also gone through a former Navy SEAL run boot camp training program.

It isn’t just college level sports teams who are taking advantage of the benefits training with SEALs bring to their programs.  For years, U.S. Olympic teams have sent their athletes to go through various physical and mental training programs run by former Navy SEALs.

Professional athletes and coaches are sending their athletes to train with SEALs  to sharpen their players’ skills just a little bit more.  If some of the guys I knew in the “Teams” are the ones training these athletes, they may just end up too sharp.
