Navy SEAL to Professional Skier

September 25, 2013
Mark Divine No Comments NSWC, SEAL News

He was about to step onto the plane to return to Iraq for a second deployment when she stopped him. “Don’t be careful,” she told him. “Every time people try to be careful, they get hurt. Go all-in all the time. Be aggressive and do what you do best – win.”

Advice given to former Navy SEAL Pete Scobell by his wife.  Scobell continues to go “all-in” pursuing his dream of becoming a professional skier.

Pete Scobell had two ambitions in his life; to serve as a Navy SEAL and to ski professionally. Now, after 16 years and six combat deployments, the 36-year-old is finally hitting the slopes.

“Is there risk? Sure. Is life without risk worth living? No.” – Pete Scobell
