Birdies For The Brave

Mark Divine No Comments NSWC, SEAL News

Golf and Giving Come Together with PGA TOUR’s Birdies for the Brave.

A PGA TOUR Charities, Inc. program, Birdies for the Brave is a military outreach initiative, dedicated to supporting the brave men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families through fundraising events at TPC Clubs nationwide.  The tournament series was created in 2005 by TOUR player Phil Mickelson and his wife, Amy. Since then, Birdies for the Brave has raised millions of dollars for military home front groups, including the Navy SEAL Foundation, that provide critical programs and services to meet the specialized needs of wounded warriors and military families.

The 2013 series features tournaments in states from coast to coast, with play on scenic PGA TOUR-owned golf courses where the world’s best golfers compete. From Sarasota to San Francisco, and from Memphis to Minneapolis, the series is open to golfers of all skill and ranking. A day at a Birdies for the Brave golf event is memorable and includes not only golf, but an opening ceremony honoring service members.

Please take a moment to learn more about these organizations and their events.
