Chris Kyle Memorial Gym

January 30, 2014
Mark Divine No Comments SEAL News

A gym for U.S. combat veterans was dedicated Wednesday in Junction, Texas in honor of fallen Navy SEAL Chris Kyle who spent his last years helping and supporting wounded warriors.   Organizers hope the $270,000 facility, the “Chris Kyle Memorial Gym” will serve combat veterans by providing a place for rehabilitation and recovery.

Chris Kyle spent much of his time and energy supporting fellow veterans returning from combat.  Kyle founded a non-profit, Heroes Project, which offers free, in-home fitness equipment, facilitation of donated health club memberships, individualized programs, personal training, as well as life coaching and comprehensive support to in-need veterans with disabilities, Gold Star families, and those struggling with PTSD.

Chris Kyle was shot and killed on a shooting range by a fellow veteran on February 2nd, 2013.
