SEALs for Sunshine – 13 Miles – August 21, 2014

On August 21, four Active Duty Navy SEALs will challenge themselves to swim the entire length of Sebago Lake, just over 13 miles, while raising awareness and funds for Camp Sunshine!

Imagine the endurance it will take to swim a 1/2 marathon!  The SEALs will be entering the water at the southern most part of the lake in Standish at 6 a.m. and finishing on the beach at Point Sebago Resort in Casco around noon.  They estimate that it will take them approximately 6-7 hours to swim the 13 mile course.

Their goal, to raise $80,000 to sponsor an entire session at Camp Sunshine in 2015 for Military families that have a child facing a life-threatening illness.  Won’t you help be a part of this amazing event?

Be sure to check out all the fun activities surrounding the event including our special gala dinner where guests will have the opportunity to meet with the SEALs as well as a very special guest!

Camp Sunshine is a retreat for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. Located in Casco, Maine on Sebago Lake, the year-round Camp serves families from all over the world.

Meet the team and support SEALs for Sunshine.
