Tribute to The Greatest Generation
John Riedy was given one of the most amazing opportunities in 2009. After being contacted by a friend, he and 12 World War II Veterans traveled back to their D-Day Battlefields. There he was able to photograph them 65 years later. NS.com found John’s work while searching the web and reached out to him, he kindly gave us permission to publish his photos. He is now the Director of Photography for The Greatest Generation Foundation. A charity organization that is dedicated to preserving the legacy of these Veterans at their historic battlefields of WWII.
