Lone Survivor Movie Trailer
Here it is my friends, the trailer for “Lone Survivor” based off of the book written by Marcus Luttrell. The movie is set to hit theaters the end of this year.
Very much hoping for a great movie that honors the bravery of all my brothers that day. I still remember seeing Danny Dietz around the compound like it was yesterday. He and I served at SEAL Delivery Team Two together. All are so truly missed!
I am not sure Walberg is in the camp of some of the more lunatic leftists in Hollywood. Besides, he has donated his time and his name to the Wounded Warrior project, that would cut him some slack in my book.
I know it is a movie but Mark Walhberg and all those other guys that make millions from doing movies with guns but then say they should be banned. Just rubs me wrong how they guys act.
If this is the "Real" Brand from ST3 I thought your book was awesome. I thank you and your family for your sacrifices for our country.
Between Mr. Webb's book and Mr. Lutrell's book it is just so amazing what great people do for this Country. Now they are making a movie which I will see more then once I am sure. Peter Berg did Friday Night Lights so I am sure this will be just as good or better. Thank you for your service and sacrifice.
If I remember correctly, Marcus Luttrell was involved with a lot of how the movie was made. In an interview, he mentioned something to the effect that he said to the Director how important it is to make the movie as true as possible to honor his buddies that were lost. If anyone has read his books or watched his youtube interviews, Marcus looks like a guy that will either have things done to his liking and standard or blow the set up, lol.
I cant wait to see this movie. If its even a fraction of what the book was like, its going to be great.
I doubt there will be a dry eye in the theatre.... Great that the story is getting told and will reach a wider audience and inspire future gens... It sucks that we know the end..... Rock on.
I think it looks pretty good. I'll see it no matter what. Just an idea, would there be some kind of benefit viewing? I think they did a donation for Act of Valor if I remember right. Or maybe I've been talking to the RCF too much. Haha.
Why did they cut off the rim of their bonnie caps? Is this Hollywood or is this what SEALs do? Personally I think it looks gay, but I'm used to seeing them "as issued"...
Looks awesome! Heard Marcus' interview on SOFREP in January; then met his twin brother Morgan in February, and we had a chance to chat for a few minutes. Very nice, down-to-earth man who looks like he eats C4 for breakfast. Would never want to be on the wrong side of these two.
I enjoyed the book "Lone Survivor" about three years ago and am looking forward to the movie. Was wondering how they were going to make Mark Wahlberg even halfway resemble Luttrell, but the way he wore the beard helped. I think he'll carry the role just fine; am a fan, so not much of a stretch.
God bless the families of those lost on that mission and the one sent in to try to rescue them.
tenho certeza que sera um grande filme e que venha logo para o brasil vou esta anciosa para assistii o trabalhho dos seal e extraordinario sou uma fa de verdade meu sonho e connhece los e apertar a mao de algum deles que deus abençoe todos e a america.
My husband served at SDVT-2 also. I visited him at work often and saw Danny many times. Hubs says he was a real good guy. I absolutely believe that.
I would like to thank you for your service and sacrifice. My biggest beef is with Mark Wahlberg. He is a POS and unfortunately I will not pay to see this movie in the theater because of him.
“I would love it if they could take all the guns away. Unfortunately, you can’t do that so you hope that good people in the world have them to protect the people who can’t protect themselves,” Mark Wahlberg bemoaned in the Herald Sun in 2007. “Certainly, I haven’t used a gun anywhere other than on a movie set and I’d like to see if we could take them all away. It would be a beautiful thing.”
@DMPaul Face paint doesn't do much in that environment anyway. It's more effective in the close environment of the jungle, etc...
@sgtmed Actually some operators do cut the rim of their boonie hats. I never did, but had some guys in my platoon who would cut them down a little. Some guys just feel the rim is too wide and start a little SEAL customization.
@RaquelCavalcante Am hoping you get to do just that and God bless you, too. :)
@yomp599 Amen bro!
@yomp599 NO need for me to say anything else. You summed it up perfectly.
@bigflash501 Wonder what Marcus had do say about that? Not being one to hold his tongue, I wonder if they had a chat about that very subject?
@bigflash501 If I judged movies by the actors real life views I'd never watch a movie again....It's a movie...be entertained.
@bigflash501 The worst part is his hypocrisy in that he beat a Vietnamese man half to death when he was 15 leaving him blind in one eye just because of his race (along with about two dozen other run-ins with the police in his youth).
maybe if that guy had had a gun, we wouldn't have to hear him spew his BS today
@BrandonWebb I think so bud.
@BrandonWebb Were Marcus and Matt using SR-25s or MK 12's?
