Two Former Navy SEALs Found Dead Aboard Maersk Alabama
According to an article posted today by Fox News, two former Navy SEALs working as security contractors aboard the Maersk Alabama were found dead Tuesday aboard the container ship, a day after it was docked near an island northeast of Madagascar. The men worked for the Trident Group, the security firm that employed the men.
Tom Rothrauff, president of the Trident Group stated that details of the contractors’ deaths remain unclear, but they were not on watch and did not die while performing a security operation. He said an initial assessment of the scene did not suggest any foul play.
The Maersk Alabama was featured in the movie ‘Captain Phillips,’ which was based on a pirate hijacking off the coast of Somalia and the dynamic rescue of Captain Richard Phillips by Navy SEALs.

Just wonder how much their employer (Trident Co) really knew what was going on in the lives of their 2 deceased contractors
This important story evaporated awfully quickly. Where are the facts? I just don't buy the implied version of two former Navy Seals killed themselves shootin' up.
Anybody know why they were contracted to be on board the Maersk at that
time and know what what they were guarding. Do you all know know where
that cargo ended up? I do.
nothing you can say will make me think these men did this... it was foul play from their mission prior to this. there is no way 2 seals OD while watching a ship, off duty, seals dont and wont do that.. i will never believe this to be true.ever. God bless our seals and i pray you find the ones that did this .. xoxoxo
I can't wrap my mind around this. My husband worked with Jeff's dad for years as a firefighter and our fire dept community is in shock. I just hope both families get some answers, no matter where the truth may lead. Hurry home Jeff
So ... 2 (ex) SEALs end up dead on a ship that was used to make a movie about SEALs. That's seriously fucked-up.
Wow.. two people found dead and not foul play, scary.. If they had bec ome ill, couldn't they have been airlifted? This is terrible. Rest in peace, angels.
