May 17, 2013
Mark Divine No Comments NSWC

A Virginia Beach Navy SEAL, Petty Officer 3rd Class Jonathan H. Kaloust, was killed Wednesday while taking part in a field exercise at Ft. Knox, Kentucky.  Kaloust, a 23 year old SEAL, was based at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek.

Seven sailors including five other Navy SEALs were injured in the accident with Kaloust.

The sailors were taking part in a field exercise when their Humvee vehicle flipped, said Lt. David Lloyd, a spokesman for Naval Special Warfare Group Two.  The cause of the accident remains under investigation, Lloyd said.

Rest in Peace Brother!
