Stone Cold! – Steve Auston Podcast with Mark Divine
I can count the number of minutes on one hand that I spent watching WWF wrestling in my life…but there are a couple personalities that I couldn’t miss – even in my ignorance. One of them is Stone Cold Steve Austin, the most intense and focused in the sport.
In the SEAL Teams we strive to develop the “thousand mile stare,” representing internal peace of mind while focusing intently on a mission. Well, Stone Cold’s stare is similar, but has an additional message of “don’t “F” with me” that can turn steam into ice.
Yesterday I had the privilege of feeling that stare, and I was happy that Steve was interviewing me and not preparing a roper dope move. The interview was for his Broken Skull Podcast on Podcast One (click the link to listen). I really enjoyed this guy and the interview. Steve is humble, has a great sense of humor and really did his research on SEALFIT and the philosophy of Unbeatable Mind.
Over an hour and 15 minutes we covered a wide range of topics, from Tommy Hackenbruck at the Broken Skull Ranch reality show, to my emotional training and the misfortune of my first attempt at family business – the Coronado Brewing Company (turns out Steve has an IPA named after him).
